I don't usually use the power balance feature as I always found it to be slow in comparison to IDS. But from what I understand that it gets faster if you hook your vci up to that tablet with the usb cable.

Yes, please try using USB cable to do this function. 

software or vci issue. this feature use to work great even without having to use the usb cable. it does get better when using the usb cable but not using does not affect it much.. almost as good as ids, that fast.

True I never had to use cable for the feature...use to work great with vci

Power balance works not understand it.

The power balance slows down or stop working when the idle exceed a specific RPM
best to use usb cable when doing so another I have notice if you use the mifire counter
you have to slow down the speed in which you view it to get a bettter graphing on it
with that being said the balance of it should remain strait line no V shape going to
ground to that cylinder or multiple cylinders this unit is very sensative so use the
record button then review the data the best way to that is to record it
